Poschl

The snuff salesman, Alois Pöschl, was 29 years of age when he decided to set up his own business. It was his vision to put the knowledge and expertise he had gained on the subject of snuff to the test, and to do so at his own expense. So on 24.12.1902 he founded the company "Alois Pöschl Tabakfabriken" in Landshut.

Today, Pöschl tobacco is on sale in more than 100 countries. In addition to Pöschl becoming the world's biggest producer of snuff, the company holds more than 50% of the market in snuff worldwide and over 93% of the market for comparable snuff products in Germany.

The Pöschl group of companies is still entirely a family concern, as it has been now for 105 years.
