I don't have enough experience for comparisons but I found this to be pleasant enough. There is some BBQ smokiness there but it isn't overwhelming. Provides a decent nicotine hit. I'll probably eventually find it to be a bit middle of the road but it is a good enough Scotch that some people will simply love it especially if you enjoy nicotine but don't like to be overwhelmed by it. Considering the cost, it's certainly worth giving it a try.
